A Vision for the Future

Without a clear vision for the future and a well thought out Strategic Plan and aligned goals and objectives, an organization can spend a great deal of energy and time on activities that won’t necessarily produce the desires results. Busy does not always translate into meaningful results.  Strategic planning is a methodical process for creating a path for your organization to follow, with the intention of ensuring your success as well as your significance. Strategic planning is about taking a meticulous, honest, and thorough look at both your own organization and at the regulatory, political, and competitive environments in which you operate.  George & Associates can help guide your organization through an objective SWOT Analysis – Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. With this assessment in hand, it is then possible to set a visionary future for your organization.

Devising the Action Plan

Once there is “buy-in” on the vision and agreement is reached on intended outcomes, the organization must devise broad goals and objectives to evidence the vision and then plan a series of action steps to focus your organization’s resources in order to achieve the goals.  Such a process helps an organization set priorities and helps ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals.  George & Associates have experience assisting organizations develop effective and clear communication strategies that can help define clear expectations for the management team as well as metrics to measure success.

Strategic planning is a disciplined effort that guides decisions and actions that shape what an organization is, who it serves, what it does, and why it does it, with an appreciation for the organization’s history and a focus on the future.  Yet, care must be taken to assess and adjust the organization's strategy in response to changes in the operating environment or interference from exogenous factors.
